For Polish people Krakow is the most beautiful city in their homeland and the most important cultural metropolis. Every stone can share its history here. Historical background, its colorfulness and rousing music immerse tourists into the unbelievable atmosphere. The whole old city belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage List. We look around the biggest medieval market square in Europe, Cloth Hall, the building of Jagiellonian University and Royal Castle with a cathedral on Wawel Hill wherefrom Polish kings had been ruling the
country for five centuries. We also visit marvelous St. Mary ’s Basilica with famous Krakow High Altar, carved from lime-wood and two uneven towers which symbolize this church. We make a sightseeing tour around Jewish district of Kazimierz on the left bank of the Vistula with its nice cafes, galleries and antique shops. Kazimierz was the location of the famous movie “Schindler ’s List”. Among other things, we see the former Kazimierz Town Hall, the Corpus Christi Church and the Synagogue. We will definitely visit Christmas market and indulge in this miraculous atmosphere of the city, get
to know with European traditions of Christmas and New Year celebration. In the afternoon you have free time to discover the city on your own. In the evening we come back to the hotel and have a dinner.
The heart of the mountains
After the breakfast we leave Krakow and drive to the ‘heart’ of mountains and Poland’s well-known mountain resort, Zakopane. Some also call it winter capital of Poland. This picturesque town is situated at the foothills of the majestic Tatra mountains some also call it the biggest mountain resort in Europe north of the Alps. On your way to Zakopane you also experience an
unforgettable time in the small village of Chochołów, where you can admire a great number of cottages dating back to 18th century. After a hotel check in we are going to enjoy the highest and one of the most picturesque mountains in Eastern Europe. There we ascend by the popular Gubalowka funicular, which starts in the very centre of the town, to the scenic viewing point on the peaks and villages. Gubalowka offers spectacular views over the town and the

Don’t forget to try delicious regional cuisine and get some adorable souvenirs from the local open-air market.
